Eric, the rate you pay as a residential customer is NOT the market rate. Instead, you're paying a heavily subsidized rate.

Plus I'll bet that the cost your listing doesn't include every hidden fee, tax, "Native American fertility dance" surcharge, and all the other B.S. that goes into your utility bills.

Here in California, when I drive up to a ChargePoint charger, the rate of electricity is a flat 25 cents per kWh. That also reflects the average cost I'm paying at home when factoring in all the fees that I mentioned.

P.S. - I do realize that California has one of the highest costs of electricity per kWh. But that can't easily be dismissed as "just a California thingy," especially when many states want to follow California into the EV utopia.
