Windows NT: A Great OS and a Tool of Trickery

If you have a decent processor, a hefty amount of RAM and Hard Disk space, while
running Windows NT, you will notice that it does perform a bit faster than Windows 95.
Although Microsoft hasn't officially explained why, it is obvious that Windows NT does
contain much more 32-bit native code than Windows 95 does. This means that
processors which have strong 32-bit processing capabilities, such as the Pentium Pro, will
perform significantly better under Windows NT than under Windows 95. In fact, all
Pentium class systems, when equipped with enough RAM and a speedy hard disk, do
perform much faster under Windows NT when compared to Windows 95 running Business
and High End user applications.

When using Business Winstone 98 for example, a standard Pentium II test system will
achieve a benchmark an average of 30% greater under Windows NT (4.0 - WKS) when
compared to Windows 95. By using this 30% increase in benchmark performance to your
advantage you can easily make the performance of virtually any system appear to be
beyond outstanding. Surprisingly enough, the benchmarks out on the web today of the
K6-3D were run under Windows NT.
