Why hasn't Gannon made any public announcements?

Is Gannon in the Mike Armstrong/Mark Willes/Lou Gerstner/Al Dunlap CEO mold or just another in a series of "team players" supporting the "good old boys" and cronyism at Glenview?

Zenith needs a bold, aggressive CEO.

Jeff, you've had ample time to start essential changes in corporate strategy and culture. So, what have you been up to?

Scott, my impression is that many salespeople in CE stores are either badly informed about HDTV or are not terribly excited talking about a product they can't sell to a customer today, or both. Salespeople want you to make your buying decision TODAY, not postpone it.

By the way, my son caught a Zenith commercial on TV today. He described it as a "great" commercial, "right up there with the best of them." He's involved in the music business, and he thought the production and music were well done. I haven't seen the commercial myself.

Zenith has also been running commercials on a popular radio station I listen to throughout the day. I've heard the same commercial several times now, and frankly, I think it's a pretty classy commercial. After listening to the commercial, I've been left with the impression of a serious, cutting edge, high-tech company with quality products to sell. I know I'm partial, but if I didn't like the commercials, or if I felt they fell short in getting their message out, I'd be the first one to say so.
