Hi Bob,

Can I bug you with another question?

This one is about Tesla and their battery pack replacements during the warranty period. According to this article This Tesla Model Y Is On Its Third Battery Pack After 100,000 Miles. Here's Why (insideevs.com)
Tesla replaces battery packs under warranty with remanufactured packs which in this case did not work out very well.

My question: Is it customary in the automotive industry to replace defective parts with remanufactured parts during the warranty period?

TIA
