CSCO had a huge boost post COVID. However looking at the 2024 guidance midpoint of $54.5B, that’s only 10% from their 2016 revenue or $49B. Way less than inflation even. It seems like a shrinking business to me.

I need to look closer, perhaps there are growth catalyst that change that. A lot of competitors like JNPR and even more so PANW, UI etc have been doing much better and winning market share. (JNPR has been doing better only recently, remains to be seen if they can keep their momentum). Without growth, this could be a value trap.

Re: CSCO - hint - - What company did they recently acquire (transaction closed September 27, 2023) ? They paid $28 Billion financed by cash & Debt.

Acquisition is/should be their new growth engine . . has yet to show results but give it time.

No position. I have small position in JNPR which has been taking market share from CSCO's old traditional networking enterprise business.
