"I agree that the amount of money that Fisher received is obscene, but sports in general, both amateur and pro, is awash in loot."

LMAO; I remember my mother being upset when Ted Williams got $100K.

An observation.

Cops, firemen and high-paid athletes have one thing in common. All are examples of socialism. We pay for sports stadiums with our taxes and then pay to use what we bought so the owners can pocket all the money.

We also pay for them when we don't use them. In fact, most schools are willing to shell out millions for stadium as long as teachers don't ask for a raise. We have our priorities - entertainment is more important than education.

Having gone to my share of baseball and football games I don't think we should pay for what we bought a second time.
