As far as the winter olympics goes i agree that some parts are totally boring and shouldn't be there IMO, but the same can said about the summer games and a number of the sports there.

A lot of track & field is just so outdated these day's -- for gods sake it over a 1000 years old.

Having said that the winter speedskating and luge are the highlights of the games so far, as they usually are each olympic games. That makes up for the crap.
