Hmmm . . . that would be very interesting. Brian said that IDTI has been in talks with IBM, SGS and one other potential fab partner whom he said had asked not to be identified. Hatachi, NEC, NKK and, I believe, a couple of other Japanese firms, have had Intel patent portfolio cross-licenses but have never done anything to use them in the Pentium class uP segment. It seems to me that the market is ripe for Japanese involvement. Either Hatachi or NEC would make an interesting fab partner.
