TSO thanks for that. Not arguing against the fact that over the next few years both semis and semi-equips are going to enjoy a major bull run. Just don't believe today's stock prices for the semi-equips that's all.

Had done this earlier. But do you realize that in terms of overall growth for semiconductor sales the period we are in now 1996-1998 is worse than the 1989-1991 period? That suggests to me (in the time honored tradition of cyclical l/t trends) that the next run will be a monster! Would not be surprised to see better relative performance for the semi-equips than even the 1993-1995 period.

It's all a matter of capacity and demand. They are coming into line no small thanks due to the problems in Asia. When that happens and demand meets or exceeds capacity katie bar the door!

But today's prices for the semi-equips are too high (and looks like they are getting higher). A discontinuos discounting mechanism!!!
