What ADSL market <g>?

Oh, over the next few years? Who knows.

I would think there is room for several key ADSL players, and I would include ADI in that group. Their close working relationship with AWRE ensures that they keep current with linecode algorithming and engineering. And now with UAWG, it'll be interesting to see what shape this'll take.

In any case, ADI has a lot going for it besides ADSL - they've got some of the top DSP/mixed-signal talent.

Personally, I don't see WSTL as a major player. TXN has great DSP tech and Amati has some top engineering. But not by any means enough to "shut" a major player like ADI out - ALL of course, IMO.
