You're probably correct but I can hope that Powell grows a pair and forces them to slash the budget.
Liberals point to spending when Covid first started and the economy was shut down. Nobody knew what to expect or what was needed so it made sense then. Once everything was reopened and roaring, there was absolutely no need for any fiscal stimulus whatsoever and everyone knows it that isn't blinded by bias.
There's also no reason for current spending. We should shut everything down and not spend another nickel until a balanced budget is passed without riders loaded with pork. Cut foreign aid, "defense" spending for doing what other countries should be doing themselves etc. I say shut the whole thing down. Government is bloated with incompetent morons anyway. Shut it down and then wait to see what breaks and we actually really need.
