"It's not for lack of solutions that we face a climate crisis, writes Gus Speth. The problem is our misguided values. Individualism wars against community.

A focus on the present distracts from the future.

Many now see the need for a spiritual awakening."

Once again Wharf Rat, letting others do your thinking for you is a sign of laziness.

This is what the great Marxist movement has always wanted.

This is not a new spiritual awakening, it is the same old mantra.

Repeating the same tired old Marxist slogans over and over is not praying, it is brainwashing.

The decision is easy, adapt or die...

Are you woke enough to survive fake pandemics, fake weather and fake wars?

Joe vs. the Volcano

Patricia: My father says almost the whole world's asleep. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you talk to. He says only a few people are awake. And they live in a state of constant, total amazement.

Wharfie, that tweet alone reveals that environmentalism is a cult:
Individualism wars against community.
Darn that individualism. I want to live my own life the way I want to, but the community objects because, you know, my choices impacts the gReAtEr gOoD, you know.
Many now see the need for a spiritual awakening.
So am I free to continue praying to Jesus Christ, as long as it doesn't interfere with Gaia's will?
Adapting to climate change does not address the societal systems and values that spawned the current crisis. What’s needed is “systemic adaptation” that fundamentally changes our economy, our politics, and our priorities in ways that put community and the planet first.
We live in a free market economy.

Politically we are a democracy.

Our priorities are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

What kind of "systemic adaptation" do we need in order to save the planet, and why is it communism?
