I'm glad to know you're going to send money every month for the rest of your life to a few food banks, hospitals, etc even ones started and run by and mostly financed by Christian fantasy believers. Like Mrs Carter. It must be hard for you to despise Rosalyn Carter's religion while honoring her. She was a Southern Baptist you know and denomination began over the principle of sending slave owners as foreign missionaries.

You don't need to challenge secular folks to be charitable

Would that were true. Those hateful fantasies seems to help motivate people. There's a reason pretty much all hospitals, food banks and other charities have religious origins. But hey, there's the Shriners ... I think they're secular and have hospitals but I don't know for sure. They even wear Muslim style hats. I give religiously, every month as one month's money goes out I go to BankofAmerica and set up the next month's. If I didn't I'd feel like I was cheating God. That's how I know I'll keep doing it every month for the rest of my life.

You have a point .. I do tend not to bother to read long ramblings but I did notice you included the "cult of Mao" in your denunciation of religions. That was funny.

I just hate religions. All of them.

I actually have secular relatives and don't hate them. Two gay cousins, one now dead. My Southern Baptist parents cared for him as he was dying and through them I know that he gave nothing to charity. The other one was always an arch-conservative who despised the whole idea of charity. You know the whole Ayn Rand thing.

And apparently you don't like secular people- as you attack the people who are secular and seem to think they aren't charitable. Perhaps you could say what it is about being a realist, and being governed by facts and science, that you dislike?

That was funny too.
