Wharfie,
Like unicorns, the 'free market' doesn't exist
That whole premise is based on a straw man definition of the free market.

In reality, the free market and the law of supply and demand is ubiquitous, like gravity.

Even in a completely planned and centralized economy, which is the goal of you eco-commies, you will forever be challenged by supply and demand.

It's the reason why, for example, EVs are piling up on the car lots, even though the Brandon administration is trying desperately to swim against the tide of the free market:

Volkswagen to temporarily cut production of two EV models due to weaker demand -spokesperson (Reuters)

GM postpones expanding production of electric trucks (CNN)

The real "unicorn" is the notion of a "systemic adaptation" that can transform our politics, our economy, and our priorities in a way that can sustain the environment.

It sounds nice in sci-fi, but it just isn't workable in the real world.
