What really impresses me now is that California on a lot of weekends in the shoulder seasons (spring, early summer and fall) now generates so much solar power that they have to export it to surrounding states and are beginning to curtail a lot that excess generation. We need more storage! Tesla Powerwall owners in CA are making some serious $$ now charging at cheap excess times late morning thru early afternoon and reselling that power later back to the grid during the more expensive hours in the evening.
