It was sold as the Affordable Care Act.

That was a lie.

It is expensive, I was booked (had to cancel) for Mayo Clinic check-up (I'm Canadian) was $8000 U.S. just to get admitted. Covid happened and I had to cancel because I was not vaccinated and it was not considered essential travel by U.S. Customs.

So about 1 year later I went to Cuba for a full check-up, better than I would have got in Canada, but not quite as good as I would have got in the U.S. because the U.S. has better diagnostic medicine and machinery.

Flight and stay at an all inclusive in Cuba was under $1000 CDN and medical appointment was about $250.

I came back with a box of Cohibas and a box of Romeo y Julieta and three bottles of Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros and a tan.

Eric,
And that was before Obamacare!
I predicted long ago that ObamaCare would not solve our health care woes. In fact, it would be nothing more than a stepping stone toward the promised land of single-payer health care.

And it worked. We still have the most expensive health care in the world. Many lower-class citizens are still struggling to pay for basic health care. ER care is still a thing, especially with all of the "refugees" that Brandon recently admitted.

But ObamaCare is here to stay.

Even the Republicans failed to repeal ObamaCare. This was even after Trump became president and enjoyed control over both halves of Congress.
