Confusing story. The important research data lost was incidental to the NZ database. The guy had a lot of other research in his MEGA account. He attempted to "mirror" the anonymized data that Kirsch had just made public and as a result of the NZ injunction, MEGA locked him out of his account so he can't get at it, claiming it was "lost". THAT is unbelievable. What is believable is that it is "punishment". I think Steve Kirsch has anonymized copies and NZ still has the full database. Kirsch probably withdrew public access. It would be unbelievable if Kirsch lost his source data. But will NZ ever release it for scientific review? Doubtful. This is the best review we can expect. Professor Fenton is a data guy and he takes the bias out that Steve clearly has at this point. Kirsch had released some of the anonymized data here - probably what McKernan mirrored: (I'm not recommending trying to find the data, now that they've established they'll take your stuff!) Downloading the data and tools The MIT presentation listed above has everything you need including the credentials to download all the data. Trust me, there’s more that I’m not disclosing yet (including a new US source other than Medicare). Mirror sites Do not mirror my data unless you have a bulletproof hosting provider. MEGA and Wasabi will remove your access without contacting you for an explanation. They shoot first, ask questions later. Kevin McKernan lost man years of work because of this.
