There is a 300 mile stretch here that was full of moose 20 years ago, now you would be lucky to see 1 moose during the fall season. The natives were so worried about white hunters and tourists hunting moose they basically wiped out the entire moose population. A few moose headed south to farmland or safety in Montana. It was also about 20 years ago woke advisers began helping local natives with various lawsuits, one of their big concerns is off-reserve hunting rights. The next big thing for natives is missing women, even though it is a known fact with police agencies that 99% of missing and murdered indigenous women are killed by fellow Indians. We filled up on a rez a few months ago and three little kids on bikes rode over asking if we were going to kidnap them. I said no you're safe, we only kidnap good looking kids, they frowned and rode away.
