I am not a programmer. The retrofit group wanted a new material list tool because the one they had stopped working because the office software had been upgraded. I was surrounded by people from the information technology department, no one seemed to want to talk to me and wasn't that busy so I did my best to learn programming. Enis, a girl from Yemen, was friendly and the only person who was willing and would try to help me with my questions. She did not know the engineering tool but did speak excellent english. As my program to interface the engineering tool with the office software progressed she would see what I was doing. I had created a function called atom and when she saw it, I felt the need to explain that there were a number of ways to create material in the engineering tool and the function was specifically targeting the smallest way. Eventually a working program to send material from the engineering tool to the office software was finished.
