What you've described is a reason to have a rooting interest.
Another meaningless statement.

Anyone can have a "rooting interest." It costs absolutely nothing to do so.

I just gave reasons for why we SHOULD be spending taxpayer dollars to support Ukraine.

If our foreign policy is meant to be more than just a "Fortress America" thing, if we still want to be world leaders that have a vested interest in preserving and promoting democracies all across the world, then helping Ukraine achieve total victory makes a lot of sense.

Not only that, but it's the best bang for the buck we can achieve.

The alternative is isolationism. I mentioned that already, but you obviously ignored that in your "rooting interest" portrayal.
