"Correct, NATO forces us to fight for Turkey if and when they attack Israel" Israel is not a NATO member, and it's a defensive alliance, not offensive, so we'll only get involved if Israel attacks Turkey.

Bill, NATO has outlived its purpose You could have saved yourself a lot of typing had you just come out and said this from the get-go. I'm also assuming you are saying this from a "Fortress America" POV, because NATO sure has purpose for Europe, especially the former members of the Warsaw Pact such as Poland.
