Ukraine grenade incident: Councillor tosses explosives into meeting

In one of the villages in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, one of the village council deputies threw three hand grenades at his colleagues. (...) a number of sources report that the deputy who blew up his colleagues served in the 128th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, from where he was discharged for disability due to his injury. After returning to his native Transcarpathian village, the militant was immediately elected to the local council from the ruling Servant of the People party in Ukraine. According to eyewitnesses, the deputy, apparently armed with grenades brought from the front, came to a meeting of the village council, at which the locality’s budget for the next year was approved. The man immediately entered into a heated discussion with his colleagues, demanding that the deputies first report to him for the budget expenses of the outgoing year, and also provide him with social assistance.
