Yeah, I chuckle a lot when they never, ever mention the massive pollution caused by mining, refining and burning fossil fuels. Let's just put them in a room and close the doors and windows and burn some of that stuff. They would die shortly breathing the products of combustion. You are wrong with the ideas on "profit". Capitalism works best (and I speak from experience) when the primary aim of a company is not Profit. The purpose of a company, any company is not "to enhance shareholder value". Besides which "profits" have not been the problem to date. It's outright corruption, and there has been plenty of that.
