fair disclosure - there was an interesting hit piece published in the financial times on Burford., purported by an ex manager from Elliot. Some of the statements in the article were ludicrous, some may be valid. In any case the fireworks should start soon because Burford can start trying to enforce the $16 billion dollar judgement come January 10th. I was unable to copy the article or link or I would have. The most compelling arguments may be that it will difficult to enforce the judgement outside the United States and that other jurisdictions are unlikely to recognize the judgement until all the appeals are exhausted. Also there is the possibility of a sovereign default by Argentina.

I took yet another beating on a biotech that had a large target price target from a brokerage company that has now dropped its price target from $75 a year ago to $1 after the company scrapped trials for their lead candidate. I am done with biotechs. Live long and prosper!
