All of the healthcare companies look possible in terms of profits / valuation / outlooks. This will take some study or coin flipping. A hole in my portfolio. On your mention, I owned ELV last year for a few months and don't recall why I sold in October (small profit at $481).

HSY -- My first job out of college (engineer) was in a bakery, ice cream and candy manufacturer, located in Detroit. Then back to Michigan for MBA. Then to Ford in Dearborn, then to Nat Semiconductor in Silicon Valley.

Medical Insurers. CNC ELV CI, HUM, UNH. These companies are complex and it is difficult for me to understand where they compete or how they differ. medicaid, medicare, marketplace, advantage programs, pharmacies, double digit % growth targets for all. They all predict great futures, so the sector is probably a good one have exposure -- dip a toe into. ELV and CNC appeal to me, but I cannot point to a financial / logical reason. Their literature is just a bit clearer to me. Not your job to educate me, but thanks for the direction. I'll likely buy a little of each and try to learn more. Not sure how these fit into my criteria of easy to understand and predictable. arrgh.

small correction -- In last post I said that I sold ELV a year ago, I actually sold october 2023 at a price slightly > today's.
