Matthew: Thanks for asking the hard questions. We learned quite a bit from the answers.

All: To say that they've had x number of years to "fix the problems" does not correctly address the issue. Valence has been engaged in a program to develop a technology for the production of a new kind of battery cell which is obviously extremely difficult to make. The program has moved along, but is not completed yet. It's taking more time than we would like, so we bitch about it and say "gee, why don't they get with the program". This would be a legitimate gripe if they were pursuing something that others had already done. But it is not unlike the biotech business, where additional YEARS are often required before acceptable results are achieved.

So today some people got off the boat, presumably unwilling to wait a little longer. I was disappointed too, but didn't hear anything that cast doubts on my belief that Valance WILL produce the batteries, and will be the first to do so. I'm long, and I'm holding.
