Though I'm a computer consultant, I really feel like I should've gone into engineering instead. Know little about it, but am endlessly fascinated with it. I'm much more a gear-head than a digit-head, in any event.

Pondered the wasted energy of braking systems in the 70's when I was in high school, but had no way of envisioning regenerative braking as it currently exists. All I had was an assuredness that all of that heat (and it's a BUNCH -- turning all of that momentum into heat) being dissipated into the atmosphere was terribly wasteful.

Definitely need to learn more physics. Right now all I'm dealing with is WAGs, and it'd be fun to be able to prove or disprove them on my own.

As I told BAAT on the phone (can't remember who I talked to), they're doing work I'd gladly do for free. The reply was they're doing it for almost free as it is. <g>
