Hola,

Are you a fan of WMB?

I'm curious whether the following is accurate.....

- It's not an MLP, it's a C Corp. Last year on my 1099 more than 80% of WMB's dividends were taxable.
- The yield is about 5%

If these two things are accurate, I'm wondering why I own it? If it were a slowly growing 5% that was tax free, that sounds pretty good. But a very slowly growing 5% paying taxes, that doesn't seem very special to me. I'd rather own EPD yielding 7.6%.

Do you own WMB, and do you have any good reason to own a slow dividend growth (barely above flat) C Corp?

Really never heard of this guy . .

Aswath Damodaran

Me neither.
Apparently he's put out enough to keep Harshu, and the rest of us, busy until the market is again amenable to stock picking on the basis of valuation, instead of a pre-1999 environment where big money is chasing other big money in huge capitalization stocks that would be "worth" maybe half their market price in more normal times.

Some of it is stuff, like

but most is reasonably digestible,e.g.

You could get the equivalent of an MBA in finance from what's freely available online.

He's created nothing new.

I prefer Ramanujan.
