Well it is clear they don't at the moment. How else can one explain Uber rising 148% in less than a year? The post from Spekulatius on QQQ also highlights some of this. And that one statement you quote from me seems to miss the meaning of the rest of the post I made.

All I am saying is in a wild bull market these fundamentals fly out the window to speculation as you also noted. Then when things tighten all of a sudden these ignored things matter a whole lot more (as I also mentioned these parabolic rises will not just resolve sideways). Uber rose 148% on growing revenues, well how much will it decline once those revenues are not as strong?

As Ben Graham wrote "the record shows that declines have tended to be roughly proportional to the previous advances”.

I am not disagreeing with you Bruwin. Not even slightly. Just calling out how the market is thinking today.

Thus I would never invest in these types of companies despite the money to be made as the margin of safety isn't there for me - bull market or not.
