Pretty much all my friends with EVs or plug-in hybrids cite skipping the gas station as one of the main things they like about their car. It's not that it takes very long to put gas in a car, it's that you have to plan to exit somewhere that you know has a station and it's never certain if there is going to be a line or not, so the timing is variable.

Charge at home puts you in a known environment. You just drive home and have pretty reliable charging even if it takes all night. I will say, it doesn't work as well for apartment dwellers who don't have assigned parking.
