Mike, Lets handle these in order:

Mike, you toss around some of these stock ownership stats rather loosely. As its always been, the bulk of the wealth in this country is held by an elite and small percentage (not spoiled boomers but inherited money). Their stock ownership % is also higher and has existed long before 1990. Now I agree that alot of money has flowed to market since 1990 but its probably money that used to go to other investment options. People weren't buying 14 bill of BMW's a month <g>
