I probably shouldn't have bought it. I don't recall if I mentioned the guy that had it passed away while starting to change the engine. I finished the engine and fixed the hydraulic leaks but found I am missing various parts and none of his family know where they are. I bought new intake filter assembly, oil sensor, etc but parts are ridiculously expensive for these things. I still need an air conditioner compressor, skid plates and some other stuff.
The thing is a beast though. It will lift anything. This is a huge model with 100 HP, bulletproof glass on front door and is made for mulching.
The main issue is the cost of parts and how hard it is to get to everything. I don't bend like I did in my 30s. Changing the hydraulic hoses was a real pain. Everything is so close together to save space that you can only get 1/8 of a turn on a wrench when you're tightening the fittings. Adding insult to injury, the fittings are big so you're trying to get a 2-5/8" big wrench in those tight confined spaces.
I'm seriously thinking about just using it to test it out for a couple months and then sell it. New tracks are $3700 each, if I blew a pump, it would be $7000. When I was done changing the hydraulic hoses, it took 22 gallons of fluid to refill it because this is a high flow skid unlike "normal " skid steers.
As I said, the previous guy started the engine change so I don't know much. Perkins won't help with anything without the engine number. The plate with the number is missing and the cast number on the block is hidden behind a part that is a major pain to remove. I can kind of see it with my borescope but can't quite make it out.
Anyway, more than you wanted to hear but.... LOL
I think I can make a $10k profit if I resell it so I'm leaning that way. I don't even have a mulcher yet and I'm reading a lot of scary stuff about them breaking down a lot, expensive teeth that don't last long etc.

I mostly spent the last few weeks clearing cedars (by hand, not the skid). I got 2 fence rows done but now the weather has gone against me starting today.

Hope you have Xwitter now, I said we would bounce last night. EMAs were setup.

As I said yesterday here, I don't know about bonds short term. My charts have buy signals on rates so my system says bonds should drop, rates higher but everything is wonky right now. Macro indicators have kind of flat lined so both sides can spin news either way they want.
