“The proposed creation of Natural Asset Companies is one of the greatest threats to rural communities in the history of our country,” treasurer.utah.gov Notice of Filing of Proposed Rule Change to Amend the NYSE Listed Company Manual to Adopt Listing Standards for Natural Asset Companies sec.gov So it's not only farmland these dims want to sell - they want to sell off our public land. Land is going to be purchased through normal -- legal -- channels by these companies using investor funds. It is essentially a way to launder foreign money through the stock market to make foreign land grabs legal. No more outrage at Chinese nationals buying up land, now it's going to be these so-called "Natural Asset Companies" owning the land -- and doing absolutely nothing with it. They'll buy up farm land and let it go idle. They'll buy up oil land and do nothing. They'll buy up forests and never log. Mineral lands and never mine. At least, that's the upfront implementation excuse given to get green activists on board. Later administrations won't be able to void the land purchases, because those will have been legal; but they'll certainly be able to ease the restrictions on usage. This is a scheme to launder foreign money through the stock market, buy up American natural resources (esp. farmland) and lock it away from use benefiting Americans. It is essentially a back-door method to do to American farming what the EU is doing to Netherlands and Germany. They'll also be able to permanently block drilling in ANWR with this method. Basically they can transfer any federal lands into DNC hands (i.e. Blackrock)
