Despite his poorly constructed roster, his defense is decent. He has always had a good defense. But the offense needs 11 new starters to be competitive again.

You know the "Belichick can't win without Brady" (crap) bothers him. Seems like common sense to me he wants to start fresh with another team where he'll be given more say than he feels he has under Kraft.
