Very few people at Chevron actually worked as chemists. Chevron's CFO had a PhD in chemical engineering - think about that. It tells you a lot more about Chevron's finances than studying finance does.

The people who worked at Chevron as actual chemists, most at the Richmond, California Technology Center were all world-class brainiacs. bicmagazine.com I'm a mere mortal.
.

The Swiss telephone directory, which lists your profession to help distinguish one person from another, listed my grandfather's cousin as Chemist, but he was a senior vp, head of Nestle's Americas Division.

It takes a lot of people with an education in some form of structured thinking like chemistry or physics to manage people and make sure the trains run on time in businesses which make our economy work.

If you want a fantastic dinner, always ask a person with a chemistry background to cook.
