I'll let Trish speak definitively about Grass Valley, but we have to be careful of the distinction between Fibre Channel switching and Video switching. A video switch or router is a much different animal than a Fibre Channel switched fabric. (At least it was the last time I checked. Before digital video. <g>)

Another techno-spiel. Switchers or Switches? Kind of confusing ...
Tektronix switcher's are products for postproduction video editing. Think of a music recording studio with the guy behind the glass wall with all the dials, buttons, bells and whistles who makes the music sound as good as possible. He edits. That is what a switcher is for but with sound and video as it allows people to change analog sounds and video to digital and than manipulate it.
