Yes, you're probably correct. I went back and pulled out a Nov. '97 issue of Dessauer's Investor's World after your post. CWP is one of his three stocks listed for Long Term Core Holdings (it was 23 at the time and he commented it was in "a bargain price range). He also implied that the new CEO, Richard Brown, was "prettying up the company for something" and comments that he (Brown) had reduced Cable and Wireless' stake in HKT to 50%. There is little doubt that Dessauer, as of November of 1997, was implying merger at some time in the not too distant future. Sorry for this off-topic post. Since I'm also a LOR holder, I plead for temporary indulgence from the good folks of the LOR thread.
