I suggest you get out in the field, get hands on and work with the actual technology.

I've had many people over the years put down PV generated power and had to eat crow.

It's been the cheapest form of electrical power generation for over ten years now in very sunny areas of the planet.

Sub one cent a kWr in SA unsubsidized today.

Hydropower can't even compete with that.
