This woman's stocks at Hightower seem to be well-known good, solid companies. Nothing really unusual to spur my interest, right now. Following the timing and portfolio weighting with her picks there could give the results you are looking for, I suspect.

Essentially, the article said that better-looking people are great for research since management will give them more facetime and spill more of the beans than they really should etc. Therefore, they generally make good forecasts with accurate data.

Better-looking people also find it more easy to raise funds and retain trust amongst people. However, uglier managers are still better for your portfolio by about 2%.

Bringing this up is also incredibly shallow of me- especially when women tend to outperform men on forecasts. Interestingly, though, attractive/dominant women did worse than the average man.
All of the above is not surprising, really, but it's certainly not ideal.

To be clear, I'm not making a point. Obviously, there are exceptions as anything. Just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Best,
Harsh Vyas

I do t watch Fast Money much, but I also found Stephanie Link to be one commentator who actually makes sense to me. I have no idea about her investment acumen. Her picks OM and SLB in the oil sector do make sense to me as well, especially XOM.
