BYD lowers prices by up to 7,000 euros

The Chinese car manufacturer BYD is now also reacting to the elimination of the environmental bonus. This is especially true for the most popular model.

The Chinese car manufacturer BYD is lowering the prices for several electric car models by more than 7,000 euros in some cases. This is the result of a comparison of the current list prices with data from December 2023. According to the report, BYD grants the highest discount for the Atto 3 Comfort and Atto 3 Design models with 14.9 percent each. This corresponds to a discount of 6,635 euros and 7,015 euros respectively.

This means that the Atto 3 Comfort still costs 37,990 euros, while the Atto 3 Design is 2,000 euros more expensive. In contrast to suppliers such as VW or Mercedes-Benz, the price reduction probably applies not only to private customers, but also to commercial buyers. In addition, the new prices do not appear to be limited in time.

As can be seen from an overview published by the magazine Elektroautomobil on X, the price reductions also affect the models Dolphin Comfort (minus 8.3 percent) and Dolphin Design (minus 7.9 percent) as well as the more expensive models Seal Comfort (minus 5.4 percent) and Seal Excellence (minus 5.0 percent).

The price reduction results from the comparison of the Bafa list (PDF) from last December and the prices that BYD now mentions on the configuration pages of the vehicles.
