yes Rick, isn't it almost enough to make one wild and crazy? as for buffers (G. style), daddy-o knows all about those. in fact he knows so much he is useless, even to himself. the lesson i learned from him; don't walk in his footsteps.

"buffers"--certain thought patterns--which self-protectively shield us from the true horror of our existence...

watched "Apocalypse Now" again which reminded me of Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" which reminded me of T.S. Elliot's "The Hollow Men" all of which reminded me of the phrase "the horror, the horror" which reminded me to put my buffers back on. isn't life wonderful?

this medium works well on certain levels but attempting a travelogue from nether regions is a doomed enterprise and ends up reducing one to gibberish and then fatalistic silence, at least in my case. i stick my foot in my mouth a lot. (you are newest on the block so you get the apology this time - sorry for jr.)
