Nonsense! I have a very large library and never had issues. Are you talking about backing up to iCloud?

Just as Force Majeure, I've never had a problem with all the music I've ripped from my CDs, and that's through about seven Mac computer upgrades and many versions of iTunes/Music over the years. Since it was called SoundJam MP by Casady & Greene in 1999, in fact.

You can still import CDs on new Macs without internal SuperDrives if you attach a 3rd party external CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive (or external Apple SuperDrive), I do it all the time. All of those songs play fine on my iPad and iPhone 13 as well.

After the gross abuse my playlists suffered at the hands of Apple Music, I've decided to cancel my subscription.
