While I am a little disappointed at the loss of Ben in the first tournament, I think the street is misunderstanding the true concept of the inaugural event in the Classic Series. The first tourney is to pay homage to the late David Marr...players are to be friends and close associates of the man, hence Roseburg and Bolt. Damian assured me that the other three players to be named this week will be household names. I spoke with Damian this afternoon and can say that the post from the aol board that will follow is the same thing that Damian told me. The only thing additional that I don't remember reading is Damian told me he is being inundated with calls (abusive calls) from some of the investors, and added that he was not going to release unwarranted information just so the market makers and day traders can have a field day with a penny stock. The next paragraph is the post from aol. As I stated earlier, I was not real happy with the news- but I spoke to Damian for a half hour today and asked him all the questions I said I would on a earlier post. The answers are both good and bad, but in all cases I felt he was being honest and not a hypester. This is what we spoke about... 1. Crenshaw now old news. He said it was a scheduling error and Ben will play in another event and is still supportive of the Series. 2. Names today...Told him many of us were disappointed they were not "household" names. He said what I thought he would, these names are very well known in the golf community and to old timers (read CEO's of sponsors). He said Jack and Arnie love playing with these guys, they are both still actively playing on the Senior Tour (not every event). Said that this first tourny is different from rest of Series in that it will be only a one day event that is in HONOR OF DAVE MARR.These two guys were best pals of Marr, and politically it made the most sense that they are asked. He said that the other 3 Pro players will be more well known amongst the everyday fan, and looks to sign younger (more popular) players for upcoming events.The other 6 players will be appointed by the 6 signed. 3. Sponsors. Said it was important to note that MONY signed for several tourny's. There will be other sponsors and they will be announced by "levels" as laid out on the web-page soon. It takes away leverage from them negotiating to name a single sponsor as their exclusive "platinum" sponsor. He said that he feels there will be other sponsors by first tourny. 4. Television deals. Had to be real vague and I got the feeling that first event may not be televised (or it might be). He could not tell me for sure, said current discussions prohibit him from going into facts. Would not surprise me to not have a TV deal for first event, but contract for future Series. 5. SEC reporting. They have put together most of necessary paperwork and will file far in advance of when they will be asked to do so. 6. Name change. Paperwork is done and is filed in Nevada to change name. A name has been approved that has something to do with golf. ----------------------- My thoughts are these---First tourny DEDICATED to Dave Marr. Todays names represent former Marr's best bud's. We may not like them, but Jack and Arnie and rest of golfers and sponsors do. Three other names should be more recognizable to the layman (US). His goal is building a series and he is comfortable with progress and foundation being built. Said he is not used to being a "penny stock" company and getting all this attention putting on tourny. Will be more careful in what is put out. Being inundated with calls and e-mail. I will answer questions or clarify my thoughts if asked, but this is all I can pull from my notes right now. If you were waiting for Tiger, no luck. If you want in on a stock that can do great things over the coming year... stay tuned.
