The success of the MIR project is
a good omen for a space project that
would utilize MASSIVE amounts of silver
in the future. However there is no effect
on today's prices unless someone is hoarding
silver for the project, which I only suspected.
Experts are only claiming that Warren Buffett
was hoarding.

Only Uncle Sam is fabulously wealthy,
since he was the big holder of silver
during the time you mention. Part of the
current strength of the US dollar comes
from Uncle Sam's hoard of silver. Indonesia
wants to peg it's currency to the US dollar.
Any major weakness in silver will consequently
weaken the dollar over the long haul, and weaken
a number of US dollar-denominated alliances,
especially oil related.

As the author of 3 books, one of the longest standing investment
letters and what appears to be a successful investment style, he must be doing something right.

Maybe, Jim, but not in the way you mean. Long term followers of his newsletter would have lost money over the past 20 or so years according to Hulbert.
