Jeff,

You are absolutely correct! I had forgotten some of the points that you brought up again! It is always easier on paper than in production! I have one of those S-100 boxes in my museum, with the computer card, resistors on the bus line, plug in memory cards, and even a 'card extender' to allow testing of the card with an installed probe!

As for distances, again you are correct, especially as the speed increases. As the cost of the motherboards comes down, the only real chips to move might be the CPU and Memory. The rest is probably throw away!

I must have lost my mind there for a minute, but I'm better now!
