Probably 80% of the border "crisis" is due to antiquated stupid drug laws which provide billions of dollars to drug cartels. In fact the drug cartels are beginning to rival governments... they'll probably take over entire countries if we continue to be irrational about our futile war on drugs. In Ecuador, the global reach of Mexico’s warring drug cartels fuels a national crisis Like Joe Bonanno said in his autobiography: "When they made booze illegal we celebrated. We knew we'd be millionaires overnight and we were." The US STILL suffers from the power of the Mafia which grew exponentially during prohibition. And when prohibition ended and booze was regulated we had less deaths from wood alcohol. Less drinking even. There are three entities that benefit from drug prohibition: - Drug Cartels - Useless Bureaucrats (Expensive Border and Drug cops and a giant Court system) - Racists who like the fact they can arrest ghetto dwellers and take away their vote The victims are families of kids who OD. That would not happen if drugs were regulated and the profit taken out of the business. Fentanyl deaths are the result of drug laws. All those dead kid are dead because Fentanyl is 10x easier to smuggle. We aren't going to stop it. We've tried for 90 years. It's the reason families are fleeing countries south of the border and it's going to continue no matter what and it's going to cost us plenty. Pure stupidity. Population brainwashed.
