Something to consider with Japanese stocks as well as there seems to be an appetite to go back to private than deal with the influx of potential Icahn style activism.



Pressure on boards to bend as they do in the US is not something you will get from a Japanese company. Interesting development though and something to keep an eye on if you are investing over there.

I hold a chunk of Nintendo (transformation story into subscription business) and a few smaller caps that I screened out for cheapness and revenue growth (CAGR for the last 5 years > ~10% give or take). decent results so far. I think the transformation of the Japanese stock market is for real and likely drive better ROE which drives higher valuations.
