The reason why I refer to Marketimer only occasionally is that most of the stuff is repetitive and remains the same month after month.

Besides, a $200 expense on a newsletter subscription is a drag of 0.2% on the returns, assuming a portfolio worth $100,000. And many of us have much smaller portfolios than that (even if we include the 401-k investments, for which we usually have very limited choices anyway).

I believe Bob, Sr gives the local library as source of the publications you mention in case they cannot afford to be a subscriber. I think that's a nice thing to do for people of little means just starting out on an investment program. He's NOT recommending such people illegally copy the publications in the library.
