i have an appointment to get one today at 2:30 gg. local doctor recommended i get one. the scan is not covered by insurance , as i understand. $100. out of pocket. fyi

I haven't researched this at all, but plan to. For starters, can a full body scan be done as a Cat Scan? I'm too claustrophobic to even consider the MRI. I get weak-kneed just thinking about it. If the Cat isn't possible, the idea goes no farther for me.

I haven`t had a full body scan but I had a MRI on my neck this last summer at the neurosurgery and spine care center at my local hospital. The MRI equipment there was head and shoulders above what they have in the radiology department at the hospital. Medicare and my plan G supplement picked up 100%.
