Grommit, I tried but I can't come up with any suggestions for "golden stock picks". Nothing sticks out for me that I can see. It seems to me that stocks for 2025 might be offshore drillers and suppliers to that. Maybe coal companies who've paid down most debt these past months and will start or continue to buy back shares or increase dividends. Several have moved up substantially; BTU is one I hold that has not. Maybe later this year or in 2025. Canadian oil sands stocks and some US companies that are returning cash flow to investors -- maybe that will help those the stocks in 2025. Except for lumber stocks, I still hold all my stocks relating to companies that supply to homebuilders. Also the rental equip companies mentioned previously. If I didn't already own, I'm not sure I would start big positions here, with these stocks already up. There are some good possibilites but they have to be in mine/your belief systems. GRVY finally takes off? Would you/I/ bet on that? UAN again for those good distributions? For me, ok -- maybe -- for a tracking position or maybe tiny, tiny position - small casino wager. But for a golden stock, where I would want to consider making a major investment, I either want a lot of assurance that the stock WILL move up, even if it's only expected for a small stock gain, or a lot of assurance that I can see a clear path forward. Conviction where any drop in the stock price won't shatter my expectations. I have nothing to add like that right now for a "golden stock pick". I keep looking.
